A1200(40GE Switch)
Overview
A1200 is a single slot Advanced Telecom Computing Architecture (ATCA) packet processing module/blade compliant with PICMG 3.0/3.1 (Option 1 & 9) and PICMG 3.1 R2 (TBD) interface specification. It is ideal for dual-star and full-mesh configurations in 14 slot (EIA cabinet) and 16 slot (ETSI cabinet) systems, it also provides Rear Transition Module (RTM) for fabric and base interface extension.

The base interface switch provides Gigabit Ethernet services on 15 base channels via ZONE 2 and 2 Fast Ethernet to the shelf managers. The fabric interface switch provides 40GbE (40GBase-KR4, XLAUI) service on max 14 (min. 12) channels via ZONE 2 connectors, it also provides backward compatibility to 10GbE (10GBase-KX4, XAUI). The A1200 provides in-band and out-of-band access to RS232 console port and 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet management port.
The main advantages of AdvancedTCA are high throughput, multi-protocol support, and high-power capability, hot swap ability, high scalability and integrated system management.
